Yarmuth Picks Up FOP Endorsement
The Fraternal Order of Police today endorsed U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth, a Democrat who represents Louisville's Third congressional district.
Yarmuth, seeking a second term in Congress, is being challenged by Republican Anne Northup, whom he defeated two years ago.
Yarmuth's campaign announced the endorsement today.
"It's become very clear that whenever law enforcement needs resources or support to protect communities across the country, we can always count on Congressman Yarmuth,'' Mike Hettich, Kentucky's national FOP trustee, said in a statement.
